Prints Care Guide

To ensure your prints maintain their quality and longevity, please follow these care recommendations carefully:

Environmental Conditions

Ambient factors such as temperature, humidity, light intensity, indoor ozone, and air pollutants can affect the durability and appearance of your prints. Avoid exposing prints to harsh environmental conditions to preserve their permanence.

Use of Materials

When applying synthetic foils, adhesives, or adhesive tapes, always use archival-quality, solvent-free, and plasticiser-free products. Plasticisers and solvent-based ingredients can cause discoloration and damage to your prints. Avoid any materials that contain solvents or plasticisers to maintain the print’s original quality.

Storage and Display

Do not store or display prints near air conditioners, humidifiers, or in areas where paints, varnishes, or oil-based solvents are being used. Air vents and outlets in such environments can carry pollutants that may cause discoloration or deterioration.

How to Uncurl Your Print

Handle with care: If possible, wear clean cotton gloves when handling your print to avoid transferring oils or dirt. If gloves are unavailable, thoroughly wash your hands beforehand.

Hold edges only: Always hold the print by its edges or the white border if it has one—avoid touching the printed surface to prevent smudging or damage.

Flattening your print: Lay the print face-up on a clean, flat surface away from direct sunlight. Leave the protective tissue over the print.

Apply gentle pressure: Place a heavy, flat object (like a book) on both ends of the print. Leave it overnight, and the print should gradually become flat.

Framing and Display Tips

Use Archival Materials: Always use acid-free, archival-quality mats, backings, and tapes to prevent yellowing or damage over time.

UV-Protective Glass or Acrylic: When framing, choose UV-protective glass or acrylic to shield your prints from harmful ultraviolet light that can cause fading.

Avoid Direct Sunlight: Hang framed prints away from direct sunlight or bright artificial light to minimize fading and discoloration.

Maintain Stable Humidity: Keep your prints in rooms with consistent humidity levels (ideally 40–60%) to prevent warping or mold growth.

Regular Cleaning: Dust frames gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using cleaning sprays or water near your artwork.

Proper Hanging: Use appropriate hanging hardware to avoid damage to the frame or wall, and ensure your print stays securely in place.

Following these tips will help you enjoy your prints in excellent condition for years to come!
